Traditional handmade tiles are manufactured using a variety of raw materials and are moulded and moulded by hand rather than using equipment before being dried and then baked in a kiln. Since they are made by hand, handmade tiles typically have softly undulating surfaces and irregular edges. Along with striking variances in the depth of colour of each individual tile, there may also be minor chips or other flaws in the tiles itself. As a result of the hand-painting and glazing process, you may see variances in the saturation of the colour utilized across the surface of handcrafted glazed tiles.
